If you’ve listened to popular R & B at all within the last decade, you’ve probably heard the tasteful guitar work of Raymond “Shon” Hinton. Born into a very musical family in Brew City, USA (Milwaukee, WI), Shon picked up his first guitar at the age of 12 and hasn’t put it down since. His unique playing style blends elements of classic R & B, blues, jazz, pop, rock, and hip hop, all while drawing comparisons to guitar giants like Clapton, Hendrix, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. In Shon’s case, diversity has led to great success. He depends on his HD-147 and Variax Acoustic to get him through his day. Shon has played with Angie Stone, Avant, Kelly Price, Michelle Williams (Destiny’s Child), and is currently the Musical director for Mary J. Blige. |

“The HD-147 has everything that I can possibly need all built into one…it’s amazing! As far as the Variax Acoustic goes, I hit a button, just like a keyboard player would do. Easy access. You can’t ask for anything more than that. Variax Acoustic is hands down one of the best guitars I’ve ever played.”
