Line 6 Keeps It Smooth

Do you ever sit back on a quiet evening, turn on the radio, and chill out to the sounds of smooth jazz? If so, then you've probably been listening to Steve Briody. We first told you about Steve when his self-titled debut disc was released last Spring. The album includes a remarkable collection of musicians, with Bill Heller on keyboards, Joel Rosenblatt on drums, and Eric Marienthal on sax.

Evidently we weren't the only ones impressed by the CD. Steve was recently awarded a "smoothie" award, his CD was listed as the #8 independent smooth-jazz CD of the year on SmoothJazz.com! This, combined with his performance at the Albany Jazz Festival, opening for Patti Austin, made for a great year for Mr. Briody. (Pictured above: Steve on stage in Albany with his Vetta!)
